Stage-Two?
It is difficult to make an offensive thing sound good, but it is impossible without love.

Welcome

Don't underestimate the power of words. They may not accomplish a lot immediately, but the words you speak direct your path. The messages you write can bring blessings or curses, healing or pain. I am not talking about a mystical power, but the power we see in our lives every day if we just open our eyes and ears to recognize the results around us.

There are two groups I would like to focus on concerning these words. First, America's eyes and ears are being filled once again with campaign rhetoric, but don't be fooled. There are no saviors running for office, only men. Second, there are men who sit in the place of God who pretend to be able to command Him to perform their will. This is foolishness.

The office of President is nothing to grasp after. It is an office to respect and brings with it responsibilities far beyond the scope of any man outside the imputed blessings of God himself. God imparts wisdom for the man (or perhaps woman someday) in office and uses him to guide the nation. After all, this nation was unmistakably founded on Christian principles and in an attitude mindful of God and the rights afforded every man and woman by Him. Therefore, the man seeking office should take care to guard his words, acknowledge his shortcomings, and strive to keep from hypocrisy at all costs. What good is a man with a title if he has no honor?

There is a greater office held by many men and women. Take great care not stand at the pulpit without humility. Christ is the only one worthy, yet men proclaim to have a "word of faith" that doesn't coordinate with the words Christ spoke or the life he demonstrated. Philippians 2:5-7 "Your attitude should be the same as that of Christ Jesus: Who, being in very nature God, did not consider equality with God something to be grasped, but made himself nothing, taking the very nature of a servant, being made in human likeness." If Christ did not consider equality with God something to be grasped, how does the pulpit give any man the authority to claim riches on earth; or worse, tell those under his lead to do so? The kingdom of God is not found in temporary things for us to name and claim. It is found in eternal things, in principles, and in the love and grace Christ championed on the cross when he died for sinners who place their faith in Him and who trust in His atonement alone for salvation. James 1:5 "If any of you lacks wisdom, he should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to him."

These words may not make it to the intended parties, but they aren't limited to them by any means. Words are full of power, so use them wisely to encourage, to build, and to share so that you might also be raised to a place of honor.

God Bless
